City gardens are pretty often smaller than their suburban counterparts, but that doesn't mean they should not be a space to enjoy and relax or potter and play.
At Terra Firma Landscapes, we have been designing and constructing City garden spaces for nearly 40 years; based in South West London, we understand the challenges and how to get the best out of your City garden.

Create more space by terracing your garden or subtly demarcating areas with paving and plantings
We may yearn for the rolling acres of Downton Abbey, but suburban and cist gardens can still provide a relaxing refuge and enticing escape. We understand the unique constraints and challenges of smaller spaces and have a wealth of solutions, including creating terracing, recesses, and sunken areas. These create the illusion of more space by creating height, depth, and a more varied perspective, drawing the eye up and out, along and below. Then you can pepper the path with flowers and shrubs for contrast, colour and texture.
